Kopavogur Public Library is situated in the Cultural Centre of Kopavogur, where a new library building was opened in May 2002. The library offers three floors of modern facilities and services. In addition to being a traditional library where you can borrow books and other media, our library is a place where you can sit down, have a cup of coffee and relax with a book or a magazine. Weather permitting you can also sit outside on a veranda enjoying a splendid view across Kópavogur town.
The Natural History Museum of Kopavogur is on the first floor in the same building as the library. Salurinn, Concert Hall of Kopavogur, and Gerdarsafn, the art centre are next door. Overlooking the Cultural Centre is the beautiful Kopavogur church situated on a small, rocky hill where elves and fairies are said to roam.
WE ARE HERE Look for Bókasafn Kópavogs on the left hand side of the map. Buses nr. 1, 2 and 4 stop right outside our doors.
